Sustainability Policy
“Everything begins with One Health.”
The sustainability policy of our university is based on the One Health approach, which considers environmental, human, and animal health as interconnected and integral components of a holistic system. In this context, our primary goals at local, national, and international levels include the protection of natural ecosystems, combating climate change, promoting healthy lifestyles, and fostering sustainable production and consumption practices.
Our policy aims to leave a healthy environment for future generations, improve the quality of life in society, and cultivate a university culture that serves the common good of all living beings.
In this regard, our main objectives are:
Education and Awareness:
To enhance sustainability awareness among all stakeholders, particularly students, academic, and administrative staff; and to disseminate the One Health approach through courses, seminars, events, and community projects.
Research and Innovation:
To support interdisciplinary research covering environmental, human, and animal health; and to encourage the development of sustainable technologies, green campus practices, and innovative solutions.
Green Campus Practices:
To strengthen campus sustainability and create an exemplary living environment through energy efficiency, waste management, effective water use, and carbon footprint reduction initiatives.
Local, National, and International Collaboration:
To carry out joint projects with municipalities, public institutions, NGOs, the private sector, and international organizations; and to share and promote good practices in the field of sustainability.
