Through an international protocol, the Hitit University Tick Research Center has established a tick laboratory, which is now operational and used for both national and international research activities.

3.3.2 Community-oriented programs in the field of health
Hitit University carries out a variety of educational and service programs that aim to promote public health and overall well-being. Through the Hitit University Addiction Prevention and Research Center (HÜBAM), the university organizes awareness events, seminars, and community health screenings for different segments of society.
HÜBAM activities focus on key topics such as healthy nutrition, hygiene, physical activity, exercise, prevention of chronic diseases, healthy aging, and family health. These programs engage both university staff and student volunteers, fostering public awareness and encouraging community participation. These activities enhance community access to health services, promote healthy living habits, and strengthen local health capacity in alignment with sustainable development principles.

Hitit Mother University and Hitit Children’s University include courses on health-related topics such as hygiene and family planning, making them strong examples of community-oriented programs in the field of health.
3.3.3 Shared sports facilities
Within the framework of written permission and official protocols, the university’s sports complexes are shared with local schools.
The Faculty of Sports Sciences at Hitit University organizes tennis, gymnastics, and similar courses in the university’s sports facilities for children and adults, including individuals from outside the university community.

3.3.4 Free sexual health services for students
“Breast and Prostate Cancer Awareness” seminars and similar events are organized.


3.3.5 Mental health support
There is a "Social Support Unit" in the city center of our university, and a psychologist appointed by the Health Directorate provides services to our university students.

3.3.6 Smoke-free airspace policy
In order to contribute to a cleaner environment, areas where smoking is allowed and prohibited have been determined within the scope of "Smoke-Free Campus" activities.


3.3.7-Mental health support for staff
Hitit University provides active psychological support services for its staff to foster mental well-being. Within this framework, the university’s Psychologist Appointment process is carried out under the auspices of the Hitit University Centre for Applications and Research on Addiction Prevention (HÜBAM), and staff have regular access through the “Social Support and Solidarity Unit” located on the 1st Floor of Block C.
