The Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction Plan has been prepared in collaboration with Hitit University, and this study contributes to the management of climate-related risks and increasing social resilience.

13.3.3 Joint planning against climate change disasters
Our university participates in joint planning activities with local authorities for potential climate-change-induced disasters within the country and beyond borders. For example, under the coordination of the Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD), the “Çorum Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction Plan (İRAP)” incorporates sections on climate change and meteorological risks, and the university’s academic representatives serve as moderators, analysts and stakeholder meeting participants. Such collaborations enable local governments, the university, public institutions and civil society organisations to work together on disaster risk reduction and building resilience against the effects of climate change.

13.3.4 Informing and supporting the government
Through club activities carried out with the participation of our students, local and regional governments are informed about climate change, disaster/risk early warning and monitoring issues, and collaborations are also made with non-governmental organizations.

13.3.5 Collaboration with NGOs for environmental education
Our university collaborates with non-governmental organisations in the field of climate adaptation. For example, jointly organised events with the TEMA Foundation (Çorum Branch) bring together students and community members to enhance environmental awareness and adaptation to climate change. Such partnerships strengthen local resilience to the impacts of climate change and foster community engagement.
