Within the framework of Hitit University's mission and vision, our waste policy for hazardous and non-hazardous waste that may arise from all work and operations carried out within the University.

1. The first stage is to prevent waste generation,

2. If not provided, minimizing waste (minimizing waste),

3. Then reuse the waste,

4. If not possible, recycling and energy recovery first,

5. Ensuring the disposal of non-recyclable waste (regulatory landfill, incineration, etc.).

6. Then, keeping written records of all Waste Management activities and operations performed,

7. Dissemination of the Waste Management culture established within the university to the established city,

12.2.5 Plastic use reduction policy

This Regulation has been prepared based on the provisions of the Environmental Law No. 2872 prepared by the Ministry of Environment and Urbanization, the Waste Management Regulation No. 29314 dated 02/04/2015 and the Zero Waste Regulation published in the Official Gazette No. 30829 dated 12/07/2019.

12.2.6 Policy to reduce single-use products

Annex-2 Principles on Preventing and Reducing Waste Generation of our University's Zero Waste Regulation are specified in Article 1, subparagraph b.
