Hitit University Launches Green Transition Webinar Series on the Road to COP31

Hitit University Sustainability Office is organizing a webinar series titled “From Materials to Cities, From Nature to Economy: Green Transition” as part of its COP31 preparations. Held between 19 and 27 October 2026, the series will address the environmental, economic, technological, and urban dimensions of sustainability and the green transition through contributions from academics across disciplines.

Addressing climate change, improving resource efficiency and advancing the transition toward a circular economy require transformation across multiple scales, from production systems and material use to urban development and the built environment. In this context, the webinar series explores different dimensions of the green transition and discusses pathways to a more sustainable future from an interdisciplinary perspective.

The five-session programme will cover a broad range of topics, including zero waste, circular economy, resource efficiency, bio-based materials, sustainable production, climate-resilient cities, environmental policies and circular transformation in the built environment.
