The External Stakeholder Surveys are studies conducted within the framework of Hitit University’s quality assurance system to systematically collect and analyze the opinions and evaluations of key external stakeholders, and to implement strategic improvements based on these data. These surveys aim to strengthen the university’s interaction and cooperation with its external stakeholders.

External stakeholders include alumni, employers, internship coordinators, public institutions, private sector representatives, non-governmental organizations, local governments, and other strategic partners. These stakeholders provide valuable feedback on the university’s quality of education, graduate competencies, societal contributions, and collaboration processes.

The main objectives of the External Stakeholder Surveys are to:

  • Institutionalize a feedback culture in the university’s relations with its external environment,
  • Make stakeholder expectations, suggestions, and criticisms visible,
  • Evaluate how well academic programs align with sectoral needs,
  • Monitor employers’ evaluations of graduates,
  • Obtain external perspectives on the university’s social responsibility, impact, and reputation, and
  • Integrate external stakeholder contributions into continuous improvement activities.

The External Stakeholder Surveys are conducted at least once a year.

The data obtained are used to support:

  • External evaluation contributions in areas aligned with the university’s strategic plan goals,
  • The preparation of internal and external evaluation reports,
  • The revision and updating of academic programs,
  • The enhancement of community engagement and collaboration activities, and
  • The improvement of alumni relations and career support systems.

The External Stakeholder Surveys are an essential component of Hitit University’s open, participatory, and outward-oriented quality management approach. External stakeholders play an active and visible role in the university’s development strategies across a wide range—from education to social contribution. Through this practice, the university not only becomes an institution that evaluates itself, but also one that learns, evolves, and grows through external perspectives, thereby strengthening its institutional structure.
