Performance management at Hitit University signifies more than just tracking outputs; it embodies the implementation of a data-driven decision-making, continuous improvement, and institutional sustainability philosophy. This system, which is fully aligned with strategic objectives, integrated with digital infrastructures, and possesses a multidimensional structure, supports development at both the individual and institutional levels.

In line with its Strategic Plan, our university objectively measures the activities of all units using data; it evaluates the performance of academic and administrative staff with objective criteria; and based on the findings, it identifies areas for development and takes systematic actions.

Hitit University's approach to Performance Management is structured based on the following principles:

  • Integration with Strategic Objectives
  • Data-Driven Decision-Making Culture
  • Multilayered Monitoring at Individual and Institutional Levels
  • Focus on Continuous Improvement and Development
  • Participatory and Transparent Governance
  • Sustainability and Impact-Oriented Approach

Hitit University pursues performance management at both the individual and unit levels.

Within the Scope of Individual Performance:

At the Academic Staff Level: Indicators such as the quality and quantity of scientific publications, citation count, number of projects, teaching load, and consultancy for our academic personnel are analyzed using data automatically sourced from platforms like SciVal, Scopus, WOS, and YÖK Academic, alongside data obtained from internal university measurements.

At the Administrative Staff Level: Work and transactions carried out through the UBYS system, time management, accuracy, transaction volume, and 360-degree evaluations are used for measurement.

Operating with a feedback-oriented evaluation approach, performance reports are generated, and personalized feedback regarding areas for development is provided to the individual.

Within the Scope of Unit Performance:

Academic Units are holistically evaluated based on criteria such as contribution to Strategic Goals, teaching effectiveness, research outputs, societal contribution activities, institutional development, internationalization orientation, and quality culture.

Administrative Units are analyzed using criteria relevant to their respective domains—similar to academic units—including contribution to strategic goals, process generation capacity, operational efficiency (based on time and accuracy), feedback management, and alignment with digital transformation.

In light of the data obtained at every level, areas for development are defined at the individual, unit, and institutional levels; action plans are created for each unit and continuously monitored.

Hitit University Performance Management is positioned as a robust infrastructure—transparent, sustainable, and data-driven—that supports the holistic development of individuals, units, and the institution, thereby enhancing our university's strategic management capacity and bringing lasting value to the corporate culture.
