The Strategic Management and Quality Office of Hitit University is a central unit that conducts the university’s strategic management, quality assurance, performance monitoring, sustainability, and continuous improvement processes in an integrated manner in line with the institution’s goals for organizational development. Structured in accordance with higher education regulations, the office is responsible for transforming the university’s vision into concrete objectives, monitoring these objectives, and generating feedback for further improvement.
The Strategic Management and Quality Office not only coordinates the strategic planning process of the university but also monitors the implementation of this plan in a data-based manner, conducts systematic evaluations through performance indicators, and creates an institutional learning environment with the contribution of internal and external stakeholders. The office disseminates the quality culture throughout all university units and ensures the adoption of the quality assurance approach in the areas of education and training, research and development, community engagement, internationalization, and institutional capacity.
The Strategic Management and Quality Office is positioned between the university’s senior management and its academic and administrative units, ensuring that quality culture and continuous improvement activities are carried out effectively at all levels.
The office is responsible for preparing, implementing, and monitoring the university’s strategic plan, coordinating the action plans linked to strategic objectives and monitoring them through the HEP (Hitit Action Plan) system on a quarterly, semi-annual, and annual basis, evaluating the individual and institutional performances of academic and administrative units, identifying areas for improvement, and preparing appropriate action plans. It also structures process management at the institutional level, defines all workflows, ensures their traceability, and systematizes improvement processes. The office develops risk management policies, conducts risk analyses, prepares risk maps, and manages risks through preventive and corrective actions.
The office coordinates institutional accreditation processes in line with the principles of the Higher Education Quality Council of Türkiye (YÖKAK), prepares self-assessment reports, and manages quality certification processes. Within the scope of the internal quality assurance system, it coordinates the preparation of the Unit Internal Evaluation Report, the Peer Evaluation, and the Institutional Internal Evaluation Report. It integrates all processes with management information systems and carries out monitoring, analysis, and reporting activities through digital systems. The office also integrates institutional sustainability principles into quality processes and evaluates environmental and social impacts through data-based approaches. It conducts experience, evaluation, and satisfaction surveys for students, academic and administrative staff, and external stakeholders, and integrates the results into the continuous improvement cycle.
To carry out its duties effectively, the Strategic Management and Quality Office works in coordination with the university’s senior management, academic and administrative units, and rectorate-affiliated departments, integrated with the digital infrastructures developed within the university. Through these systems, the office provides continuous and reliable data flow to the university administration and effectively supports decision-making processes.
The activities of the Strategic Management and Quality Office are carried out in harmony with all components of the Hitit University Quality Assurance System.
In line with the principle of continuous improvement, the office manages feedback mechanisms, revises action plans according to performance, redefines risks, analyzes quality indicators, and transforms stakeholder opinions into institutional decisions. As a result, quality awareness across all units of the university is strengthened and expanded, processes become more effective, and institutional capacity is enhanced.
